The Polk County Land and Water Resources Department (LWRD) provides guidance to landowners, farmers, citizens, lake and river organizations, and schools regarding land conservation practices, soil and water resource management, invasive species, groundwater, and much more.  The department also offers cost share assistance for the implementation of conservation practices.  The LWRD offers numerous trainings, field days, and site visits for Polk County residents.  Polk County LWRD also implements several county ordinances and state programs aimed at natural resource protection.

Tree pick up is Friday, April 26th from 8am to 6pm at the steel shed in the lower parking lot of the Polk County Government Center, 100 Polk County Plaza, Balsam Lake.  Directions can be found on the Tree Pick Up Location Map.
