The Polk County Land and Water Resources Department (LWRD) implements several county ordinances aimed at natural resource protection.  We provide guidance to landowners, farmers, citizens, lake and river organizations, and schools regarding land conservation practices, soil and water resource management, invasive species, groundwater, and much more.  LWRD offers numerous trainings, field days, and site visits for Polk County residents.
