Polk County CJCC Receives Donation

BALSAM LAKE, Wisconsin, July, 7, 2022— On Wednesday, Rick Gates, Treasurer of the Clear Lake Masonic Lodge, presented a check to the Polk County Criminal Justice Collaborating Council (CJCC). CJCC Coordinator Melissa Fisher and Treatment Court Case Manager Anna Anderson accepted the $200 check, which is to be used for drug testing.

"In order to have an effective Treatment Court program, we have to keep up with changing trends and regular drug testing,” said Fisher. “We are grateful for the generous donation from the Clear Lake Masonic Lodge to help with the cost of drug testing for this program."

The mission of the Polk County CJCC is to reduce crime and recidivism in Polk County through programming such as the Treatment Courts, which aims to reduce the destructive cycle of substance use and mental health disorders.
